My absolute favorite time of the year is FALL when I get to both hunt and fish. The best is doing both together.

Fish are feeding heavily now, but I hate to miss my ruffed grouse hunting. Here's what I do. A pack rod and frozen smelt or minnows go in my rucksack along with lunch. I plan my hunt around taking an hour or more "lunch break"
Fishing while eating at a special shore fishing spot on Fenske, Everett or Twin Lakes... on a great day, I come home with birds and fish. On a good day, birds or fish and on a poor day, I have walked the beautiful woods and had lunch beside pure waters. Good fishing to you, hope you can enjoy our beautiful Ely Fall weather.
GOOD LUCK, HENRY <")))))))))))))><
p.s. After the lakes ice up check out Tim Stouffer's Adventures in spearing... he's finally set up with gear, a house and fortitude. We'll shoot you some links of the big Northern Pike we get and real decoys in action.
